US Bank Plaza in downtown Minneapolis is shown boarded up during the Derek Chauvin murder trial in April 2021. The trial followed the death of George Floyd, who was killed by Chauvin, a Minneapolis police officer, on May 25, 2020. The subsequent protests and unrest led to increased security measures in the city's business districts. The boarding of buildings like US Bank Plaza was a common sight during this period of heightened tension and uncertainty.
