Berlin Hauptbahnhof: Trains and Escalators

Berlin Hauptbahnhof Berlin Central Station 2017
Berlin Hauptbahnhof, Germany's central railway station, bustles with activity as passengers navigate its multi-level concourses and platforms. Opened in 2006 on the site of the former Lehrter Bahnhof, the station serves as a critical hub for regional, long-distance, and S-Bahn services in the capital. The image shows a red double-decker Regionalbahn train at a platform, alongside a blurred Deutsche Bahn locomotive on a lower track. Escalators ascend diagonally through the modern architecture, connecting various levels where shops and services, such as KERN language training, are located.
Photo taken in September 2017.
