Midtown Greenway and Light Rail Construction in Minneapolis
Fencing around Kenilworth Tunnel construction in Minneapolis.
Construction fencing lines a section of the Midtown Greenway corridor in Minneapolis during work associated with the Southwest Light Rail Transit project. The barriers separate the trail from an active construction area tied to the Kenilworth Tunnel, a grade-separated segment built to carry Green Line Extension trains through the Kenilworth corridor. The Southwest LRT project, now the Green Line Extension, is intended to connect Minneapolis with St. Louis Park, Hopkins, Minnetonka, and Eden Prairie.
