Minneapolis Police 3rd Precinct 4 Years After Uprising

Minneapolis police station 4 years after it was burned
Four years after the Minneapolis Police 3rd Precinct station was set ablaze during protests following the murder of George Floyd, signs hang on the fencing surrounding the site. The signs, bearing messages such as "healing," "reclaim Black joy," "clean up the MPD," and "we remember George Floyd," reflect the ongoing impact of the uprising on the community and the police department. The precinct, located on Minnehaha Avenue in Minneapolis, has remained fenced off and under reconstruction since the events of May 2020.
