Downtown Minneapolis Protest, Police Response

A New Year's Eve protest took place in Downtown Minneapolis, part of a nationwide call to support individuals imprisoned by the state. Approximately one hundred participants gathered in the urban environment. Law enforcement agencies, including the Minneapolis Police, State Patrol, Golden Valley PD, and Hennepin Sheriffs, responded to the event. Dozens of arrests were made after the Hennepin County Jail was spray-painted during the protest.
