National Guard Arrives in Brooklyn Center Amid Protests

Members of the Minnesota National Guard arrived near the Brooklyn Center Police Headquarters on April 12, 2021. Their deployment followed protests that erupted after the killing of Daunte Wright by a police officer during a traffic stop. The presence of the National Guard was intended to support local law enforcement and restore order amidst the unrest.
