Hennepin County Government Center in downtown Minneapolis is surrounded by temporary fencing and concrete barriers. The county complex houses courts and county offices, and was under expanded security in early 2021 ahead of the Derek Chauvin trial. A skyway connects the Government Center to adjacent buildings above the secured street level.
