Hennepin County Government Center Security March 2021
Hennepin County Government Center Security March 2021.

Security measures were heightened around the Hennepin County Government Center in Minneapolis in March 2021. This increased security was in place due to the ongoing murder trial of Derek Chauvin, the former police officer whose actions led to the death of George Floyd. The trial, held within the courthouse, drew significant national attention and prompted concerns about public safety and potential unrest. The presence of barriers and personnel underscored the sensitive nature of the proceedings and the broader context of the Minneapolis Uprising that followed Floyd's death.
