World’s Largest Chest of Drawers, High Point, NC

The World's Largest Chest of Drawers, a roadside attraction in High Point, North Carolina, was erected in 1926. Originally serving as a functional office for the local Chamber of Commerce, the structure was designed to promote High Point as the "Furniture Capital of the World." The building is shaped like a giant mahogany chest of drawers, complete with oversized brass drawer pulls and decorative fan motifs.
