Winston Smith Vigil at Lake Street and Girard Ave, Minneapolis

A vigil is held at the corner of Lake Street and Girard Avenue in Minneapolis for Winston Smith, who was killed four months prior. The memorial is located outside the parking ramp where Smith died at the top. "Winston Smith was assassinated here" is written in purple and pink spray paint on a concrete pillar at the site. The vigil includes numerous candles and floral arrangements, a common practice for public mourning and remembrance.
