This occurred on the second day of widespread protests that erupted following the death of George Floyd while in police custody. The building's brick exterior is covered with graffiti, including messages expressing anti-police and anti-capitalist sentiments. The destruction of commercial properties, such as this fast-food establishment, became a visible manifestation of the intense civil unrest and community frustration during the Minneapolis Uprising.
