Marquette Avenue runs through the core of downtown Minneapolis, lined with several of the city's tallest office towers. The gold-toned tower on the left is Wells Fargo Center, completed in 1988 and designed by Cesar Pelli; at 774 feet and 57 floors, it ranks among Minnesota's tallest buildings. The green-topped tower is Capella Tower, finished in 1992 at 776 feet with 56 floors, built originally as the headquarters for AT&T's regional operations. Both buildings anchor a stretch of Marquette Avenue that has long served as a corridor for banking, law, and corporate offices in the city.
