The Shard, London: Renzo Piano’s Glass Skyscraper
The Shard, a 310-meter skyscraper designed by Renzo Piano, stands near London Bridge. Completed in 2012, its glass façade is engineered to mirror the sky, reflecting London's dynamic atmosphere. The building houses a variety of commercial and hospitality spaces, including offices, restaurants, and the Shangri-La Hotel, alongside a public observation deck. Its distinctive tapering form has become a prominent feature of the city's architecture along the River Thames.
