The Dayton’s Project on Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis

The Dayton’s Project at 700 Nicollet Mall in Minneapolis occupies the former Dayton’s department store building in the city’s retail core. Opened as Dayton’s in 1902 and later operated as Macy’s, the property was redeveloped as a mixed-use complex with office, retail, and restaurant space. The project retained the historic department store identity in its branding while adapting the long-standing Nicollet Mall site for new commercial tenants in the early 2020s.
