October 2021 — George Floyd’s aunt Angela Harrelson, his cousin Paris Stevens, Jeanelle Austin along with friends of George Floyd release balloons on what would have been his 48th birthday. 

The event at George Floyd Square was put together by the George Floyd Global Memorial.

April 2025 — Director William Tyner, Minneapolis City Council Member Robin Wonsley, Activist Toshira Garraway, George Floyd Global Memorial's Jeanelle Austin and Hennepin County Commissioner Angela Conley speak after a screening of "The People's Way" during the MSP International Film Festival.

May 2025 — Jeanelle Austin, Executive Director of Rise and Remember, speaks at the 5th annual Rise and Remember Festival. The festival takes place every year on the anniversary of George Floyd's murder at George Floyd Square.
