Protesters gathered in downtown Minneapolis on January 24, 2019, to protest against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and to call for a a second general strike. Signs displayed messages such as "ICE Out of Minnesota For Good!" and "Stop ICE Terror Now!" The protest occurred on the same day that Greg Bovino, then-director of ICE's field office in Minnesota, was reportedly scheduled to depart from his position.
