The Green Room is a music venue and nightclub at the corner of Girard Avenue and Lagoon Avenue in Uptown Minneapolis, operating out of a space that has housed a long succession of bars over the years. It opened in 2023 and has since become a regular stop for live bands, DJ sets, and recurring events that draw a consistent crowd to that corner of the neighborhood.
The venue runs programming across a broad range of genres and formats, from New Band Night showcases to DJ performances and themed nights like Sexy Nerds, a recurring event that mixes dancing with retro video gaming. Acts including Mushroom Cloud and Sonorous have performed there, with the Sonorous event making use of a 360-degree stage configuration. The neon sign at Girard and Lagoon has become a recognizable fixture of that stretch of Uptown, which has long functioned as a nightlife corridor along the Bde Maka Ska lakefront neighborhood.
