Electric Steel Grain Elevator
Electric SteelMinneapolis, MN
The Electric Steel Elevator is a now demolished grain elevator complex in Minneapolis, MN.
Originally built in 1901, the complex was designed to receive, clean, and store grain before loading it onto waiting railcars. Enclosed conveyor tunnels carried grain between the cylindrical steel bins and the head house, where it was weighed, sorted, and distributed through a network of chutes and ductwork.
