The IDS Center rises at the center of the Minneapolis skyline, completed in 1972 to a design by Philip Johnson and John Burgee. At 792 feet and 57 stories, it remains the tallest building in Minnesota, topped with an antenna spire that adds to its height. The tower's Crystal Court atrium connects it to the city's Skyway system, a network of enclosed pedestrian bridges linking downtown buildings. Ramp A, a municipal parking structure near Target Field, sits in the foreground along the western edge of downtown.
