Pirate's Rose Beach Spa sits on a wooden pier extending over the shallow waters off Ambergris Caye, Belize's largest island. The over-water massage huts are a common fixture of San Pedro's beachfront, where thatched-roof cabanas built on stilts serve visitors staying along the barrier reef coastline. Ambergris Caye lies just west of the Belize Barrier Reef, part of the larger Mesoamerican Reef system that draws divers and snorkelers to the area.
