Empty Warehouse District/Hennepin Light Rail, Minneapolis
The Warehouse District/Hennepin station on North 5th Street in downtown Minneapolis is shown empty in the early morning on March 28, 2020. Part of Metro Transit’s light rail system, the station serves trains toward downtown St. Paul and the Mall of America. The lack of passengers and trains came just after Minnesota’s statewide stay-at-home order took effect, documenting a sharp reduction in transit activity during the opening weeks of the COVID-19 pandemic.
