The Northstar Line, operated by Metro Transit, provides commuter rail service between Minneapolis and Big Lake, Minnesota. Introduced in 2009, the Northstar Line was developed to offer an alternative to highway travel and reduce traffic congestion along the U.S. Route 10 corridor.
