The Minnehaha Liquors building on East Lake Street in Minneapolis burns on the night of May 28, 2020, as people gather in the street during unrest following the murder of George Floyd. The commercial building, marked by the large Minnehaha Liquors Drive-In sign, also housed Midori’s Floating World Cafe. The fire was part of widespread damage along the Lake Street corridor during several nights of protests, confrontations, and property destruction in south Minneapolis.
