Matt Birk, a former NFL center for the Minnesota Vikings and Baltimore Ravens, campaigned for Minnesota Lieutenant Governor in 2022 alongside gubernatorial candidate Scott Jensen. Birk won the Super Bowl XLVII championship with the Ravens in 2013 and made six Pro Bowl appearances during his career. The Minnesota State Fair, held annually in Falcon Heights, draws over one million visitors each year and is a traditional stop for statewide candidates during election season.
