Demolition of the former K-Mart store on Nicollet Avenue in Minneapolis is underway. The building sustained damage during the 2020 Minneapolis Uprising and was subsequently utilized as a temporary post office to serve residents whose local postal facilities were destroyed. The demolition marks the end of a significant retail presence in the area and the conclusion of its post-uprising role.
