An Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) vehicle is stopped at a lowered light rail crossing gate in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on January 8, 2026. The crossing guard gate, which landed on top of the car, is part of the light rail across from the Whipple federal building. The Whipple building, which houses an ICE detention center, has been a place of protest since December 2025. Find more photos like this on my Operation Metro Surge: Ice in Minneapolis page.
