ICE stencils at Chicago-Lake Liquors in Minneapolis indicate locations of ICE apprehensions.
Stencils reading "A NEIGHBOR WAS TAKEN HERE" are spray-painted on the exterior of Chicago-Lake Liquors in Minneapolis. These markings, which appeared across the Twin Cities, indicate locations where individuals were apprehended by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The stencils emerged as a form of protest and community expression in response to ICE activities. This marking was documented in March 2026 on Lake Street, a historically significant commercial corridor in Minneapolis.
