Gus Klenke Garage in Ellison Bay, Door County, occupies a building that once served as a Standard Oil station. Gus Klenke built a reputation for mechanical skill, repairing farm equipment with scrap metal he salvaged himself. The Klenke family also rented out cottages and sold honey from bees kept on the property. The site once held a cheese factory, linking the garage to the area's earlier agricultural economy.
