Gluek’s Bar & Restaurant in downtown Minneapolis displays a hand-lettered “Black Lives Matter” message across the glass panes of its entrance door. The photograph was made on May 28, 2020, during the protests and unrest that followed the killing of George Floyd. Located at 16 N. 6th Street, Gluek’s is one of the city’s oldest bars, and the sign documents how a long-established downtown business publicly addressed the moment.
