The Loring Bike Bridge carries the Midtown Greenway over Hennepin and Lyndale Avenues in South Minneapolis, linking the Greenway trail to Loring Park and the city's downtown bikeway network. Built as part of the Greenway's conversion from a rail corridor into a dedicated bicycle and pedestrian route, the bridge is used daily by commuters and recreational riders traveling between the Chain of Lakes and downtown. Its concrete railings and brick underpasses have long attracted spray-painted messages and street art, making the structure an informal, ever-changing canvas for political statements passing through the corridor.
