Minneapolis USPS on Lake Street in former K-Mart

Downtown Minneapolis seen behind fenced in Kmart in 2021
The United States Postal Service branch on East Lake Street in Minneapolis occupies a building that formerly housed a K-Mart. This relocation occurred after two nearby post office branches were destroyed during the Minneapolis uprising in 2020. The building's exterior is adorned with murals and graffiti, some of which memorialize figures and events from the uprising.
