Demolition of US Bank Building After Fires
The US Bank building on East Lake Street in Minneapolis, shown here in a state of demolition, was destroyed during the protests that followed the murder of George Floyd in May 2020. The building, a commercial structure, was one of several businesses and properties damaged or destroyed in the unrest. Its demolition represents a physical marker of the events and the subsequent rebuilding efforts in the neighborhood.
