Caesars Palace opened in 1966 on the Las Vegas Strip, developed by Jay Sarno with a Roman Empire theme that became a template for later themed resorts. Caesars Entertainment now owns and operates the property, along with Horseshoe Las Vegas under the same corporate banner. The marquee's digital display rotates promotional content for Caesars Entertainment properties and events, including the Horseshoe's Arcade nightclub. Gold medallion and column details on the sign reference the resort's original Roman-themed architecture.
