Brass Solidarity at George Floyd Square Anniversary March

Brass Solidarity marches through George Floyd Square in Minneapolis on May 25, 2023, during the Rise and Remember gathering. The brass band leads a procession of community members across the intersection of 38th Street and Chicago Avenue, where names of those lost to police violence are painted on the pavement. A colorful mural decorates a building in the background as dusk falls over the square, which has served as a focal point for remembrance and activism since George Floyd was killed nearby in May 2020.
