A McDonald’s restaurant on Broadway Avenue in North Minneapolis is boarded over in early June 2020. Plywood covers the front windows while signs at the entrance and drive-thru state that service remains open. The protective boarding reflects security measures adopted by some Minneapolis businesses after the killing of George Floyd on May 25, 2020 and the unrest that followed.
