A Black Lives Matter statement is posted on the door of an Urban Outfitters store in Minneapolis. The notice states that store staff reject racial injustice and that all are welcome, placing the retailer among businesses that publicly aligned themselves with racial-equity protests after the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis in May 2020. Made about a year later, the posting shows how such statements remained part of storefront messaging in the city in May 2021.
