Urban Outfitters Minneapolis: Black Lives Matter Statement
A sign posted on the door of Urban Outfitters in Minneapolis states, "The people helping you here today believe Black Lives Matter and reject racial injustice. All are welcome here." This statement was displayed during the period of widespread protests and civil unrest in Minneapolis following the murder of George Floyd in May 2020. The Minneapolis Uprising saw significant activism and calls for racial justice throughout the city and beyond. Businesses across the nation responded to the movement, with many publicly declaring their support for the Black Lives Matter movement and condemning racial injustice.
