Leaning Tower Roadside Attraction, Wisconsin Dells

The tilted white tower along the strip in Wisconsin Dells is a roadside oddity built to mimic a leaning building, part of the area's long tradition of eye-catching attractions designed to pull in passing tourists. Wisconsin Dells has marketed itself as a vacation destination since the late 1800s, when er H.H. Bennett's images of the Wisconsin River gorge drew early visitors to the region.
