Jake Luhrs fronts August Burns Red, a metalcore band formed in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, in 2003. Luhrs joined as lead vocalist in 2005 and has since become known for the band's technical breakdowns and Christian-influenced lyrical themes. This performance took place May 7, 2008, at the Riverside Ballroom in Green Bay, Wisconsin, a venue that has hosted touring rock and metal acts for decades. August Burns Red had released their debut album, "Thrill Seeker," in 2005, building a following in the metalcore well before their later Grammy-nominated work.
