Sustainable Safari is an indoor animal exhibit inside Maplewood Mall in Maplewood, Minnesota. The exhibit houses capybaras among other species, giving mall visitors a walk-through encounter with animals not native to the region. Capybaras are the largest rodents in the world, native to South America, and can weigh over 100 pounds. They're semi-aquatic by nature, but exhibits like this one typically keep them in bedding and enclosed habitats designed for public viewing.
