The parking lot of Gandhi Mahal restaurant on Lake Street in South Minneapolis shows a burned-out car and scattered debris. This site was significantly impacted during the civil unrest that occurred in Minneapolis following the May 25, 2020, death of George Floyd. Gandhi Mahal, a community-oriented establishment, was among numerous businesses on Lake Street that sustained damage.
