Fix Lyndale & Black Lives Matter Mural, Lyndale & Lake St

A Black Lives Matter mural by Reggie LeFlore adorns boarded-up storefronts at the corner of Lyndale Avenue and Lake Street in Uptown Minneapolis. This artwork emerged in the aftermath of the 2020 Minneapolis Uprising, transforming damaged properties into public expressions of protest and solidarity. Adjacent to the mural, the #FixLyndale message advocates for the long-standing community effort to reconfigure Lyndale Avenue, a corridor known for high rates of vehicle and pedestrian accidents. Both the Black Lives Matter mural and the #FixLyndale campaign represent ongoing community engagement with social justice and urban planning issues in Minneapolis.
