Minneapolis Uprising Chalk Art on US Bank Plaza Boards
During the Minneapolis Uprising in 2020, following the murder of George Floyd, U.S. Bank Plaza, located across from the Hennepin County Government Center, was boarded up. In response, individuals used chalk to write messages on the boards, transforming them into a public forum for protest and commentary. The messages reflect a range of sentiments, including calls for justice, critiques of law enforcement, and expressions of solidarity with marginalized communities.
