A memorial for Winston Smith is arranged on the rooftop of a parking ramp in Uptown Minneapolis. Smith died on June 3, 2021, after being shot by law enforcement officers who were attempting to arrest him. The memorial includes numerous candles, flowers, and signs, and is located on the same parking ramp where the incident occurred.
