George Floyd Square Greenhouse, First Snowfall

A community greenhouse stands covered in the first snowfall at George Floyd Square in Minneapolis. This structure was erected as part of ongoing community efforts at the site, which became a memorial and protest space following the murder of George Floyd in May 2020. The greenhouse is enclosed to protect plants and maintain a green space through the colder months. George Floyd Square, located at the intersection of 38th Street and Chicago Avenue, has served as a focal point for remembrance, activism, and community organizing since the Minneapolis Uprising.
