A crowd gathers at George Floyd Square in Minneapolis following the guilty verdict in the trial of Derek Chauvin, the police officer charged with the murder of George Floyd. The intersection, formerly known as the intersection of 38th Street and Chicago Avenue, became a focal point for protests and activism after Floyd's death in May 2020. Signs and banners, including "WHERE THERE'S PEOPLE THERE'S POWER" and "George Floyd was our neighbor. George Floyd's life matters," reflect the community's ongoing engagement with issues of racial justice and police accountability.
