ExxonMobil Chemical's Baton Rouge Chemicals North facility sits at 5955 Scenic Highway along the Mississippi River. It's part of the larger Baton Rouge complex, which ExxonMobil has operated since 1909 and which ranks among the largest integrated refining and petrochemical sites in the United States. The complex produces plastics, synthetic rubber, and other chemical intermediates used in manufacturing, and it remains one of the largest industrial employers in the Baton Rouge area.
