Devil's Lake State Park is Wisconsin's most-visited state park, tucked into the Baraboo Hills near Baraboo. A 360-acre spring-fed lake sits ringed by 500-foot quartzite bluffs — some of the oldest exposed rock in North America, dating back roughly 1.6 billion years. The park offers over 29 miles of hiking trails, including sections of the Ice Age National Scenic Trail, along with swimming beaches, rock climbing, camping, and fishing. Its dramatic cliffs and glacially carved landscape make it a favorite for hikers and climbers.
