Everlake Apartments, South Minneapolis, February 2023

The Everlake Apartments in South Minneapolis, photographed in February 2023, stand near the site of a Target store. This building was under construction in May 2020 when it was destroyed by fire during civil unrest following the murder of George Floyd. The unrest led to widespread damage in the area, including the nearby Target store, which was looted and burned. The Everlake Apartments have since been rebuilt, representing a return to development in the neighborhood.
