Santa Catalina Arch and Cobblestone Street, Antigua, Guatemala

Santa Catalina Arch and Cobblestone Road
The Santa Catalina Arch, a prominent landmark in Antigua, Guatemala, was constructed in the 17th century. Originally part of a convent, the arch served as a passageway for nuns to cross the street without descending to ground level. The structure also features a clock tower, added in the 18th century, which has become an integral part of its identity. Today, the arch stands on a cobblestone street, a testament to Antigua's colonial past and a popular site for visitors.
