January 2024 — Hennepin Ave Bridge, seen from the Merriam Street Bridge to Nicollet Island. The Merriam bridge dates back to 1887, the now decorative truss span is actually a saved portion of the former Broadway Ave bridge. It was moved here 100 years later in 1987. (Minneapolis, January 2024)

January 2024 — The Washburn A Mill, the world's largest flour mill when built and now part of the Mill City Museum. Nominated in USA Today as the best history museum for 2nd year in a row. 4th place last year, this years voting ends on 02/12.

April 2024 — Downtown Minneapolis as seen from a bridge over Interstate 35W. This is probably one of my favorite views of downtown. Nicer now that all the construction is finished.. for now!

June 2024 — The Stone Arch Bridge is closed for the next few summers as they work on repairs to the former railroad bridge built in 1883.

December 2024 — This bridge marks the boundary between Jalisco and Nayarit in western Mexico, a crossing that connects travelers heading north from Puerto Vallarta toward Riviera Nayarit. The single-span concrete structure with its yellow guardrails spans a deep ravine surrounded by subtropical vegetation typical of coastal mountain terrain. A small roadside sign at the far end welcomes drivers to Nayarit, signaling the transition between two of Mexico’s most visited coastal states.

September 2025 — A cyclist travels across the Martin Olav Sabo Bridge, a dedicated pedestrian and bicycle suspension bridge spanning Hiawatha Avenue in Minneapolis. Opened in 2007, the bridge was designed to provide a safe, grade-separated connection for trail users along the Midtown Greenway, avoiding the busy highway and light-rail tracks below. The bridge reflects Minneapolis’ investment in protected urban cycling infrastructure, supporting its reputation as one of the most bike-friendly cities in the United States.

September 2025 — Some sad Spin and Lime bikes/scooters trapped behind the new fencing that was put up yesterday to close the path between Lake Street and the Greenway. The path was closed hours after a mass shooting that claimed 5 victims. The path has been a popular place for open drug use all summer.

October 2025 — Real colorful sunset above the Martin Olav Sabo bridge over Haiwatha Avenue in South Minneapolis.

October 2025 — Light rail vehicle on the bridge at the Kenilworth Channel. This morning Metro Transit towed a light rail vehicle through the line for the first time doing basic clearance testing. Construction on the green line extension began in 2018 and is set to open to passengers in 2027.

November 2025 — Lake Street bridge over the channel between Lake of the Isles and Bde Maka Ska on a fall day.
